How to display a list of posts or page or arrange posts into blog or news
You may want to display a list of posts and pages on your site or you may want to arrange your posts and pages into a blog or a display of news or something similar as shown in the image above. To do so, you may follow the steps below:
- Log into the admin part of your site.
- Make sure to create the the posts or pages you want to arrange into blog or news or the like.
- Go to "Post Display".
- A page may open where you may see a list of post displays.
- You may also find a button labelled "+New Post Display" (image below).
- Click on the button. That is, click on "+New Post Display".
- A page may open where you may fill a form to create the post display.
- While filling the form, you may find a field labelled, "Style of Post Display"; it is a selection of various styles in which the posts or pages may be arranged.
- Choose the style of post display you want.
- Also you may find a field labelled, "Source of Post". Choose post if it is posts you want to arrange; choose pages if it is pages you want to arrange.
- All the other fields are self-explanatory so you may fill them as required.
- When you have finished filling the form, click on the button "Save Post Display" to save the post display.
- If you have saved the post display, you may now go to the page in which you want the posts or blog to appear.
- If you have already created the page in which you want the posts or blog to appear then go to "Pages" and then edit that page.
- If you have not yet created the page in which you want the posts or the blog to appear, then you may create a new page by going to "New Pages" and then "New Page".
- Suppose that you have opened in the text editor the page in which you want the posts or the blog to appear.
- Click on "Widgets" at the top of the text editor.
- The various widgets may open (image below).
- Click on "Post Display".
- A modal panel may appear where you may select the post display which you created earlier on.
- If you have selected the post display, then you may click on "Insert Post Display".
- If you click on "Insert Post Display", a shortcode may be inserted into the text editor.
- Save the page and then view the page at the public part of the site and you may see that the posts or blog have appeared in the page.
